A wavelet based collocation method for the discretization of multidimensional partial differential equations is constructed. To allow arbitrary grids and complex geometries a multi-domain formulation including grid refinement capabilities is chosen. Furthermore, the connections between wavelets and finite difference operators are exploited. \(\copyright\) Academic Press.
