The authors prove that if a nonconstant entire function of finite order \(f\) share one value a CM with its first derivative \(f'\), then \((f'-a)\equiv c(f-a)\) for some constant \(c(\neq 0)\) this provides a partial answer to a conejcture due to \textit{R. Brück} [Result. Math. 30, No. 1-2, 21-24 (1996; Zbl 0861.30032)].
