Let \(R\) be a prime ring with maximal right (or left) quotient ring \(Q\) and extended centroid \(C\). For \(f\colon R^{n-1}\to Q\), \(\alpha=(r_1,\ldots,r_n)\in R^n\), and all \(1\leq i\leq n\), set \[ f^i(\alpha)=f(r_1,\ldots,r_{i-1},r_{i+1},\ldots,r_n). \] Let \(\{E_{ijk}\}\) and \(\{F_{ijk}\}\) be sets of functions from \(R^{n-1}\) to \(Q\); \(\{a_{ijk}\}\) and \(\{b_{ijk}\}\) \(C\)-independent subsets of \(Q\); \(V\subseteq Q\) a finite dimensional \(C\)-subspace; and \(\{w_j\}\subseteq\text{End}((R,+))\) with each \(w_j\) a composition of derivations, automorphisms, and anti-automorphisms of \(R\). The main result of the paper essentially shows that if for all \(\alpha\in R^n\), \(M(\alpha)=\sum E_{ijk}^i(\alpha)r_i^{w_j}a_{ijk}+\sum b_{ijk}r_i^{w_j}F_{ijk}^i(\alpha)\in V\), then either \(R\) satisfies a nonzero generalized polynomial identity, or there are explicit functional relations between \(\{E_{ijk}\}\), \(\{x_i^{w_j}\}\), and \(\{b_{ijk}\}\), and also between \(\{F_{ijk}\}\), \(\{x_i^{w_j}\}\), and \(\{a_{ijk}\}\), so that \(M(x_1,\ldots,x_n)\) is identically zero.
