Considering a double series, rearranging terms with a slight change of notation, giving a particular value to one of the variables and applying Gauss's summation theorem, a hypergeometric identity is obtained which is a transformation of a well-poised \(6F_5(-1)\) series into a Clausen function of unit argument. Another result which is derivable similarly is stated without proof.
