Second-order convergence in the supremum norm is shown for the difference scheme of Tsertvadze applied to the Kuramoto-Tsuzuki equation. Problems of existence and uniqueness as well as the iterative solution algorithm are discussed. For the inhomogeneous equation a linearized difference scheme is constructed and analyzed. A numerical example concludes the paper.
