In this paper the authors define a kind of transformations from a matrix to a vector and thus transferring some results on vector-valued rational interpolants to those corresponding to the matrix-valued rational interpolants. Moreover, the authors point out through a numerical example that the statement and the proof of the so-called uniqueness theorem in (C. Q. Gu, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 80, No. 1, 71-82 (1997; Zbl 0877.65005) are not correct. They provide a new uniqueness theorem.
