The authors consider an abstract operator equation \(y'(t)=Ny(t)\) a.e. on \([0,T]\) with periodicity condition \(y(0)=y(T)\). Here \(N:C[0,T]\to L^1[0,T]\) is a generally nonlinear continuous mapping. A new existence principle is proposed relying on a nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder type. Using this principle the authors prove two existence results of superlinear and resonant type respectively.
