A note on a problem of lattice points in a certain planar domain (Q1125415): Difference between revisions

Let \(k> 2\), \(1\leq b\leq a\) and let \(R_k(a,b)\) denote the number of lattice points in the domain \(|\frac xa|^k+ |\frac yb|^k\leq 1\). The author gives upper and lower bounds for the remainder in the asymptotic expansion and \(R_k(a,b)\), but no proof is given.
