The geometric series method is applied for conversion of 2D continuous-time state Roesser type models to equivalent discrete-time models. The geometric series method in conjunction with the principal \(q\)th root of a matrix is proposed for converting 2D discrete-time Roesser type models to equivalent continuous-time models.
