Consider a connected reductive group \(G\) over a local field \(F\) of characteristic 0. The trace formula then leads to some family of distributions on \(G(F)\). They arise from weighted orbital integrals. A study of change of these distributions as \(G\) varies or, in other words, the transfer of distributions is the aim of the present work. For this purpose, the author redefines the original trace formulas by a natural invariant distribution and states an expanded version of the main transfer conjecture. The latter takes the form of the two conjectured identities which are satisfied by two new families of distributions. Each of them is defined inductively from stable distributions on endoscopic groups \(G'(F)\), and besides, the second one is also defined if \(G\) is quasisplit. The work is concluded by an example of applying the transfer conjecture to cuspidal functions on \(G(F)\) subject in the \(p\)-adic case to the fundamental lemma.
