Comparison of eigenvalues for Lidstone boundary value problems on a measure chain (Q1975687): Difference between revisions

The existence of a smallest positive eigenvalue is obtained for a class of even-order differential equations on measure chains satisfying Lidstone boundary conditions. Then, a theorem is established comparing the smallest positive eigenvalues for two problems of this type.
