This paper is devoted to the fundamental possibility of controlling the chaos within a hysteresis cycle and not on the practicalities, which of course, may be challenging. The quantities used to perform the control algorithm are the real and imaginary parts of the electric field, quantities which are currently difficult to continuously monitor and measure. The authors present the theoretical studies which show that by controlling the chaos within a bistable region it becomes possible to use a previously unstable device as a bistable resonator.
