Neugebauer (an Austrian), who revived the interest for the history of mathematics among Danish specialists. The most outstanding representatives of the domain are briefly surveyed: George Mohr (the author of Compendium Euclidis Curiosi), Jakob Nielsen, Harald Bohr, Julius Petersen (pioneer in graph theory), Poul Heegaard (algebraic topology), Caspar Wessel (geometric interpretation of complex numbers), etc. Investigating the Danish States Archives and the Royal Library of Copenhagen, the author also mentions 3 general studies on the history of Danish mathematics, namely: the work of A. Steen, presented on the foundation of the Danish Mathematical Society (1873); the doctoral dissertation of S. A. Christensen (18th century) and the bio-bibliography of N. Nielsen, on all Danish mathematicians before 1908. K. Andersen, T. Bang and T. Schott also wrote on the history of mathematics in Denmark.
