The authors give a short and elementary proof of the formulas for classical numbers of polygon dissections, such as the Fuss numbers, the Kirkman-Cayley numbers and the Euler-Catalan numbers. The authors of previous works on knot theory motivated the simple and short arguments that are based on the fact that there is a bijective map between certain dissections and some algebraic sequences.
