Quite a bit is known about Cesàro summability of Walsh-Fourier series in the Paley ordering, but not much has been done for the Kaczmarz ordering. Only \textit{G. Gát} [Stud. Math. 130, No.~2, 135-148 (1998; Zbl 0905.42016)] has shown that the maximal Cesàro operator \(\sigma^*\) is of type \((H^1,L^1)\). For the Paley ordering, \textit{F. Weisz} [Anal. Math. 22 No.~3, 229-242 (1996; Zbl 0866.42020)] has proved that \(\sigma^*\) is of type \((H^p,L^p)\) for \(1/2<p\leq 1\). Here, the author obtains the same result for the Kaczmarz ordering. It follows by interpolation that \(\sigma^*\) in the Kaczmarz ordering is of weak type (1,1) and takes \(L^q\) into itself for all \(1<q\leq \infty\). The author also shows that the maximal Cesàro operator associated with the dyadic sums, i.e., those of order \(2^n\), are of type \((H^p,L^p)\) for all \(0<p\leq 1\).
