For odd \(n\) the moduli space of spatial polygons \({\mathcal M}_n= \{ P=(a_1, \dots, a_n)\in (S^2)^n: a_1+\cdots +a_n=0\}/ \text{SO}(3)\) is known to be a Kähler manifold of complex dimension \(n-3\). The author establishes a procedure to determine the Chern numbers of \({\mathcal M}_n\). He uses results by \textit{M. Brion} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 421, 125-140 (1991; Zbl 0729.14015)] and \textit{F. Kirwan} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 5, No. 4, 853-906 (1992; Zbl 0804.14010)] on the structure of the real cohomology of \({\mathcal M}_n\), and the results on Chern classes of \({\mathcal M}_n\) by \textit{J.-C. Hausmann} and \textit{A. Knutson} [Ann. Inst. Fourier 48, No. 1, 281-321 (1998; Zbl 0903.14019)]. Some Chern numbers and the Todd genus are explicitly calculated. For \(n\leq 9\) the complete set of Chern numbers is determined, and is used to desribe \({\mathcal M}_n\) in the complex cobordism group \(\Omega^U_{2n-6}\).
