The first author [Acta Math. Hung. 86, 275-289 (2000; Zbl 0963.11049)] recently improved the error term in an asymptotic formula of \textit{J. B. Conrey, E. Fransen, R. Klein}, and \textit{C. Scott} [J. Number Theory 56, 214-226 (1996; Zbl 0851.11028)] for second-power mean values of classical Dedekind sums. This paper gives a sharp first-power mean value formula for one of Berndt's analogs to Dedekind sums.
