Convergence properties of two upwind difference schemes for the solution of quasilinear convection-diffusion problems on layer-adapted grids are studied. Sufficient conditions for the convergence of the methods, uniformly in the perturbation parameter, are derived. These conditions are easy to check and they enable one to deduce the rate of convergence. Numerical experiments indicate that the estimates are sharp.
