This paper presents a characterization of high frequency signals that is easier to verify than the one given by Boas. This result, combined with Bang's characterization of band-limited signals, presents necessary and sufficient conditions for a finite-energy signal \(f\) to be a band-pass frequency signal (Corollary 1) or a band-stop frequency signal (Corollary 2).
