    Let \(B_k=\{x\in \mathbb R^n\); \(|x|\leq 2^k\}\) and \(C_k=B_k \setminus B_{k-1}\) for \(k\in \mathbb Z\). Let \(\chi_k\) denote the characteristic function of the set \(C_k\). The inhomogeneous Herz space \(K_q^{\alpha, p}(\mathbb R^n)\) is defined in terms of \[ \|f\|_{K_q^{\alpha, p}(\mathbb R^n)}=\|f\chi_{B_0}\|_{L^q(\mathbb R^n)} +\Biggl\{\sum_{k=1}^\infty 2^{k\alpha p}\|f\chi_{k}\|_{L^q(\mathbb R^n)}^p\Biggr\}^{1/p} \] by letting \(K_q^{\alpha, p}(\mathbb R^n) =\{f\in L^q(\mathbb R^n)\); \(\|f\|_{K_q^{\alpha, p}(\mathbb R^n)}<\infty\}\). A positive measure \(\mu\) is said to belong to \(D_q\), if \[ \mu\{|x-x_0|\leq sr\}\leq Cs^q\mu\{|x-x_0|\leq r\} \] for all \(s\geq 1\), \(r>0\) and \(x_0\in \mathbb R^n\). A positive function \(W(x)\) is said to belong to the reverse Hölder class \(RH_r\) of degree \(r\), \(1<r<\infty\), if \[ \Biggl(|B|^{-1}\int_B W^r(x) dx\Biggr)^{1/r}\leq C|B|^{-1}\int_B W(x) dx \] for every ball \(B\) in \(\mathbb R^n\). Suppose \(\eta\in C_0^\infty(\mathbb R^n)\) with \(0\leq \eta(\xi)\leq 1\), \(\eta(\xi)=1\) on \(1/2\leq|\xi|\leq 2\) and \(\text{supp } \eta\subset \{1/4\leq|\xi|\leq 4\}\). The authors give : Assume \(W\in D_{nq}\cap A_\infty\cap RH_q\) for some \(q\geq 1\), \(1<r<\infty\). Let \(m\in L^\infty\) and define the multiplier \(T\) by \((Tf)\widehat{ }(\xi)=m(\xi)\widehat f(\xi)\). Then, for \(0<p\leq 1\), \(T\) maps the weighted Hardy space \(H_W^p(\mathbb R^n)\) to \(H_W^p(\mathbb R^n)\), provided \(\sup_{\delta>0}\|(m(\delta\xi)\eta(\xi))\widehat{\;}\|_{K_1^{n(q/p+1/r-1), p}}<\infty\). This extends Baernstein and Sawyer's theorem in the case of the usual Hardy spaces.
