For a class of soliton-type equations with shifted arguments, which have continuous and discrete solutions, some of the research methods used in the case of partial differential equations of soliton type are used. As for direct methods, also the formalism of dispersion relations, the addition property of involved functions plays the essential role. The author gives the generalized addition property for the product of an arbitrary number of Riemann theta functions. The obtained formula is useful for the analysis of quasi-periodic and soliton-type processes in \(N+1\) space-time.
