The effect of numerical integration in the finite element method for a nonlinear parabolic problem with Dirichlet boundary condition is analyzed. The main goal of this paper is to find some sufficient conditions on the quadrature scheme which insure that the order of convergence in the absence of numerical integration is unaltered by the effect of numerical integration. \(L_2\) and \(H^1\) error estimates for the weak solution and the numerical discrete solution with effect of numerical integration together with their time derivatives are proved.
