A Jordan curve \(C\) satisfies a cordarc condition if there is a constant \(c\) such that for all points \(x,y\) in \(C\), \(l(A)\leq c|x-y|\) where \(A\) is some subarc joining \(x\) to \(y\) and \(l(A)\) refers to the length of \(A\). Chordarc curves are precisely curves which have bilipschitz parametrization. Using Hausdorff measure the authors extend this concept: A plane domain \(G\) is an \(\alpha\)-dimensional inner chordarc domain provided that a chordarc-like condition holds for the boundary of \(G\) where now the \(\alpha\)-dimensional Hausdorff measure \(H^\alpha\) of \(A\subset\partial G\) is comparable to the inner distance between its endpoints. Similarly \(G\) is \(\alpha\)-dimensional inner Ahlfors regular if the \(H^\alpha\)-measure of the part of \(\partial G\) inside an inner ball of radius \(r\) is comparable to \(r^\alpha\). The authors show that the conditions (i)--(iii) are quantitatively equivalent: (i) \(G\) an \(\alpha\)-dimensional chordarc disk, (ii) \(G\) an \(\alpha\)-dimensional inner Ahlfors regular John disk, (iii) \(G\) a John disk and \(H^\alpha(A)\) is comparable to (diam \(A)^\alpha\) for each subarc \(A\subset\partial G\). The authors also analyze the Riemann maps associated with these domains.
