    A une mesure \(\mu\) on associe l'algèbre topologique \(L(\mu,\mathbb{R})\) munie de la convergence locale en mesure, puis un module topologique \(M\) sur cette algèbre. Un sous-espace vectoriel \(N\) de \(M\) est un sous-module de rang fini et dit quasi-libre si la restriction de la loi de composition \(L(\mu,\mathbb{R}) \times M\to M\) à \(L_A(\mu,\mathbb{R}) \times N\) (où \(A\) est un ensemble mesurable) permet de considérer \(N\) comme un \(L_A(\mu,\mathbb{R})\)-module; en outre, \(N\) est dit complèté s'il existe un homomorphisme continue de \(M\) sur \(N\) vérifiant \(T^2=T\). Le résultat important de ce Mémoire est: lorsque \(M\) est régulier, il admet au moins une forme linéaire continue non identiquement nulle si et seulement si ses sous-modules quasi-libres de rang fini sont complémentés. La démonstration en est conduite de manière rigoureuse; de nombreuses applications sont données.
