This note deals with a global existence and global nonexistence of solutions of the following parabolic equation of the \(m\)-Laplacian with nonlinear boundary condition of the form: \[ \begin{cases} (u^k)_t= \partial x\bigl(|\partial_x u|^{m-1} \partial_xu\bigr), &0<x<1,\;t>0,\\ \partial_x u|_{x=0}=0,\;\partial_xu|_{x=1}= u^\alpha, & t>0,\\ u |_{t=0} =u_0(x), & 0\leq x\leq 1,\end{cases} \] where \(m,k>0\), \(\alpha\geq 0\), \(u_0(x)\) is a positive \(C^1\) function and satisfies the compatibility conditions. The authors obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions on the existence of global positive weak solutions.
