In Invent. Math. 109, 405-444 (1992; Zbl 0799.17014), \textit{R. E. Borcherds} used the twisted denominator identities for the monster algebra to prove the celebrated moonshine conjecture. Additionally to the monster algebra there are two more generalized Kac-Moody (super)algebras representing the physical states of a string moving on a certain variety, namely the fake monster algebra and the fake monster superalgebra. Using the no-ghost theorem one constructs actions of finite groups on these algebras. Having these actions one can apply the elements of the finite groups to the Weyl denominator identity for these algebras to get the twisted denominator identities. These identities can be calculated explicitly because the simple roots of the algebras are known. In the paper under review the author calculates the twisted denominator identities for the fake monster superalgebra and uses them to prove new infinite product identities and to construct new generalized Kac-Moody superalgebras. Additionally, a generalization of Jacobi's classical identity for theta functions is obtained.
