Toroidal Lie algebras are universal central extensions of iterated loop algebras. In the paper under review the authors construct a homogeneous vertex representation, \(V(L)\), of the \(\nu+1\)-toroidal Lie algebra of type \(B_l\). Further, the authors construct some completely reducible subquotients of \(V(L)\) and determine the characters of these subquotients.
