The author introduces the notion of deviation operator in a space with affine connection (\(L_n\)-space). He obtains different deviation equations and shows that all such equations have the same form and structure as deviation equations in the standard spaces with affine connection and metrics (\((L_n, g)\)-spaces) as long as covariant structures (such as covariant affine connection, covariant metric, etc.) are not present in their structure. If metric tensor fields are used to connect the deviation equations with the kinematic characterizations of covariant vector fields, then these kinematic characterizations must be taken into account. The author shows that the deviation equation for auto-parallel trajectories in \(L_n\)-spaces (geodesic deviation in (pseudo) Riemannian \(V_n\)-spaces) admits also other solutions than the well known ones.
