The Green polynomials \(Q_\lambda^\mu(q)\) of \(\text{GL}_n(\mathbb{F}_q)\), where \(\lambda\), \(\mu\) are partitions of \(n\), were first introduced by \textit{J. A. Green} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 80, 402-447 (1955; Zbl 0068.25605)] in a combinatorial framework of symmetric functions. They are obtained as the transition matrix between power sum symmetric functions and Hall-Littlewood functions. Those Green functions play a crucial role in describing irreducible characters of \(\text{GL}_n(\mathbb{F}_q)\). More generally, in 1976, \textit{P. Deligne} and \textit{G. Lusztig} constructed [in Ann. Math., II. Ser. 103, 103-161 (1976; Zbl 0336.20029)] Green functions associated to finite reductive groups \(\text{GL}(\mathbb{F}_q)\). In this paper the author defines Green functions associated to complex reflection groups \(G(e,1,n)\) and studies their combinatorial properties. The author constructs Hall-Littlewood functions and Schur functions in his scheme and shows that such Green functions are obtained as a transition matrix between those two symmetric functions, as in the case of \(\text{GL}_n(\mathbb{F}_q)\).
