Let \(L=L_0+L_1\) be a complex Lie superalgebra which admits a non-singular, \(d\)-invariant form \(B\). Such an algebra is called Riemannian. There exists a representation \(L_0 \rightarrow \operatorname {Lie} (S_p(L_1))\) where \(S_p(L_1)\) is the symplectic group with respect to \(B\) restricted to \(L_1\). Suppose now that \(V\) is a vector space with non-singular alternating form \(B'\) and \(S_p(V)\) is the symplectic group with respect to \(B'\). Let \(M\) be a Lie algebra which admits a representation \(M \rightarrow \operatorname {Lie}(S_p(V))\). The main result is a necessary and sufficient condition for this representation to be of the type in the second sentence.
