The algebraic \(K\)-theory of the \(n\)-dimensional projective space over a commutative ring \(R\) is isomorphic to the direct sum of \(n+1\) copies of the algebraic \(K\)-theory of \(R\). This paper gives an analogous result in the algebraic \(K\)-theory of spaces, using the algebraic \(K\)-theory of a point instead of the algebraic \(K\)-theory of \(R\). The replacement for a quasi-coherent sheaf of modules is a non-linear sheaf, which is defined to be a commutative diagram of equivariant topological spaces satisfying a homotopy sheaf condition.
