The collocation method is applied to the Cahn-Hilliard equations with periodic boundary conditions. The author derives semidiscrete and fully discrete schemes and shows their important properties, which are inhereted from the continuous problem. There are the mass conservation property and the energy dissipation property. Existence and uniqueness of the numerical solution as well as optimal error bounds are proven. Numerical experiments presented at the end of paper confirm the second order error estimates in time.
