In part I [Math. Comput. Modelling 34, No. 3-4, 271--281 (2001; Zbl 0992.65044)] the author showed that a generalized Vandermonde determinant can be factored as a product of the classical Vandermonde determinant and a Schur function. If \(x= x_n\) then the resulting polynomial is a Schur function which also has a special factored form. The author gives condition that the second factor is a monic, and shows an application of the factorization.
