The author generalizes the classical flower theorem of Leau and Fatou to \(\mathbb{C}^2\) in the following way: Let \(f\) be a (germ of) holomorphic self-mapping of \(\mathbb{C}^2\) tangent to the identity and having the origin as an isolated fixed point. Then there exist at least \(\nu(f)- 1\) parabolic curves for \(f\) at the origin. Here a parabolic curve is an \(f\)-invariant holomorphic injective image of a simply connected domain in \(\mathbb{C}\) which is attracted to \(0\) under iterations of \(f\), and \(\nu(f)\) is the order of \(f\) (defined via the expansions of the coordinate functions of \(f\) in terms of homogeneous polynomials). The proof of the theorem needs a residual index theorem (Section 1), a reduction theorem (Section 2) and a simplified version of Hakim's theorem [\textit{M. Hakim}, Duke Math. J. 92, 403-428 (1998; Zbl 0952.32012)] before following the argument of \textit{C. Camacho} and \textit{P. Sad} [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 115, 579-595 (1982; Zbl 0503.32007)] to finish the proof.
