On the bifurcation of large amplitude solutions for a system of wave and beam equations (Q1863611): Difference between revisions

The paper deals with the existence of solutions for a linearly coupled system of a wave equation and a beam equation with a sublinear perturbation. Using the standard change of degree argument the author finds necessary and sufficient conditions for the asymptotic bifurcation with respect to the matrix spectrum in one parameter and in four parameter cases. The concept of matrix spectrum is defined by the coupling matrix of the system.
