Enumeration of Lozenge tilings of hexagons with cut-off corners (Q1865392): Difference between revisions

This article presents various enumerations of lozenge tilings of hexagons with cut-off corners. In fact, this work is a generalisation of Proctor's enumeration formula for the enumeration of lozenge tilings of a hexagon with ``maximal staircases'' removed from some of its vertices. For two vertices most of the cases lead to nice enumeration formulae. The authors also investigate the case of three or more vertices and study some factorisations, but the problem of finding enumeration formulae for these cases is still an open problem.
