Spectral stability of the Neumann Laplacian. (Q1867234): Difference between revisions

As main result the authors prove a spectral stability theorem for the Neumann Laplacian associated with a bounded region with boundary of Hölder type. The discription of the suitable properties of the boundary is extensive and intricate. The proof is essentially based on two arguments: first on the perturbation of the boundary within a uniform Hölder category, and second on the equivalence of some Sobolev-type inequalities to the spectral properties of the Neumann Laplacian at hand. This equivalence and the relationship between the Sobolev inequalities and some Hardy-type ones are deduced, too.
