It is well known that for \(f \in L^{\text{loc}}_1 (R^n)\) almost every point in \(R^n\) (with respect to the Lebesgue measure) is a Lebesgue point. If \(f\) belongs to the Sobolev space \(H^s_p (R^n)\) with \(s>0\) and \(1<p< \infty\) the situation is even better and \(B_{s,p}-\)almost all points in \(R^n\) are Lebesgue points, where \(B_{s,p}\) denotes the respective Bessel-capacity. It is the aim of this paper to extend this assertion for the identity operator to a class of (non-linear) operators \(T\) asking for Lebesgue points of \(T(f)\). These classes cover Hardy-Littlewood maximal functions and Littlewood-Paley square functions.
