The author investigates Riesz wavelets in the context of generalized multiresolution analysis. In particular, he shows that the class of wavelets obtained by an MRA, introduced by the reviewer in [Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 7, 315--331 (1999; Zbl 0944.42028)] is the same as the class of biorthogonal wavelets associated with an MRA.
