The paper presents a frequency-domain method for the identification of continuous-time SISO Wiener systems. No prior knowledge of the system nonlinearity and linear system dynamics is assumed, but only continuity and stability is, respectively, required. The system is excited by a collection of sinusoidal signals with the same amplitude and various frequency, and disturbed by additive white noise. The proposed algorithm computes, in turn, the phase response estimate of the linear dynamics, the nonlinearity estimate (from its initial crude graph) and the magnitude response estimate of the linear subsystem, based on the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of the sampled (and pre-filtered) output data and a proper estimate of the interaction signal. Convergence issues are briefly discussed, and the efficiency of the method is illustrated by means of simulation examples.
