The author uses the asymptotic perturbation method (AP) for the theory of approximate analytic solutions to the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation under the action of a harmonic potential and an external excitation in resonance with the frequency of a generic mode. The main results of the paper are 1) the existence of dromions bound states for appropriate parameter values and 2) the mathematical apparatus of quantum mechanics can be used as the lowest order approximation to the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation.
