The authors study the following inhomogeneous boundary value problem for the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation \[ \begin{cases} u_t= (a+i\alpha)\Delta u- (b+ i\beta)|u|^2 u &\text{in }\Omega,\\ u(x,0)= u_0(x) &\text{in }\Omega,\\ u(x,t)= Q(x,t)&\text{on }\partial\Omega,\end{cases} \] where \(\Omega\) is an open bounded set in \(\mathbb{R}^d\) with \(C^\infty\) boundary and \(h\), \(Q\) are given smooth functions. Under suitable assumptions on \(u_0\), \(Q\), \(h\) the authors prove the existence of a unique global solution in \(H^1\). Moreover, this solution approaches to the solution of the NLS limit under identical initial and boundary data as \(a,b\to+0\).
