Sind \(\gamma= {a\over q}\), \(\gamma= {a'\over q'}\) zwei benachbarte Farey-Brüche mit \(\gamma<\gamma'\) aus \(F_Q\), so gilt immer \(\Delta(\gamma,\gamma')= a'q- aq'= 1\). Dies gilt nicht in \(F_{Q,\text{odd}}\). So wird bei festem \(h= 1\) die Verteilung aufeinander folgender Elemente \(\gamma_i< \gamma_{i+1}<\cdots<\gamma_{i+h}\) aus \(F_{Q,\text{odd}}\) untersucht und die Wahrscheinlichkeit bestimmt, dass ein solches (\(h+1)\)-Tupel die Bedingung \[ \Delta(\gamma_{i+j-1}, \gamma_{i+j})= \Delta_j\qquad (j= 1,2,\dots,h) \] erfüllt.
