The authors consider the control of a Lorenz-type chaotic system that they call Lü system. By an eigenvalue analysis of the discrete-time system derived from the sampled-data system, they construct a linear sampled-data feedback which locally stabilizes the origin of the system and hence the overall system in the regime of the chaotic attractor.
