Half-linear equations and characteristic properties of the principal solution (Q1763676): Difference between revisions

The authors study the characteristic properties of the principal solution for the half-linear differential equation \[ (a(t)\Phi(x'))'+b(t)\Phi(x)=0. \] Using the reciprocity principle, it is shown that the solutions of the considered equation have properties similar to those of linear equations. Moreover, the integral characterizations of the principal solutions are presented.
