As is well-known, miscellaneous properties, including continuity and differentiability, of Nemytskii operators on \(L^p\), were extensively studied by \textit{M. A. Krasnoselskij} [``Topological methods in the theory of nonlinear integral equations'' (International Series of Monographs on Pure and Applied Mathematics 45, Pergamon Press, Oxford) (1964; Zbl 0111.30303)] and \textit{M. M. Vainberg} [``Variational methods for the study of nonlinear operators'' (Holden-Day Series in Mathematical Physics, Holden-Day Inc., San Francisco) (1964; Zbl 0122.35501)]. Accordingly, the properties of Nemytskii operators on other spaces, such as Hardy spaces, are of great interest. The main purpose of the present paper is to establish criteria for continuity and Fréchet differentiability of Nemytskii operators on the Hardy space \(\mathcal{H}^{1,1}(\mathbf{T}^1)\). Two propositions deserve to be stated: (1) If \(f\) is the difference of two convex functions (written as \(f\in DC\)), the Nemytskii operator defined by \((Fu)(x)=f(u(x))\) maps \(\mathcal{H}^{1,1}(\mathbf {T}^1)\) into itself. (2) If \(f^{\prime\prime}\) is locally Lipschitz continuous, \(F: \mathcal{H}^{1,1}(\mathbf {T}^1)\to \mathcal{H}^{1,1}(\mathbf {T}^1)\) is continuously Fréchet differentiable.
