Exact analytic solutions of unsolvable classes of first- and second-order nonlinear ODEs (Part II: Emden--Fowler and relative equations) (Q2484623): Difference between revisions

Using the fact that by means of functional transformations both Emden-Fowler and generalized Emden-Fowler equations can be reduced to Abel's differential equation of second kind. Employing a mathematical technique developed by the first author [Appl. Math. Letters 18, 155-162 (2005; Zbl 1078.34505)], exact analytic solutions of the Emden-Fowler differential equation and of other nonlinear differential equations encountered in mathematical physics and nonlinear mechanics are constructed.
