The author deals with the singularities and perestroikas (= bifurcations, metamorphoses, or transitions) of shocks in the classical optimal control problem with a free initial point. Points where two or more extremal trajectories end form shocks evolving in the course of time. The author classifies perestroikas of shocks in the plane and in space under some strong conditions on the data of the optimal control problem.
