The authors study the existence of three positive solutions of a differential equation of the form \[ \big(| u'(t)| ^{p-2}u'\big)'+a(t)f(t)=0, \] which satisfy either the conditions \[ u(0)-B_0(u'(\eta))=0\text{ and }u'(1)=0,\text{ or }u'(0)=0\text{ and }u(1)+B_1(u'(\eta))=0. \] By transforming the problems into operator equations, the existence is proved by applying the so called five functionals fixed point theorem of Avery.
