Row ideals of certain normal ideals (Q2570674): Difference between revisions

Let \(R\) be a noetherian local ring, and \(I,J\) ideals of \(R\). One calls \(J\) a row ideal of \(I\) if there exists a minimal system \(x_1,\dots,x_n\) of generators of \(I\) such that \(J\) is the annihilator of \(x_1\) modulo \(x_2,\dots,x_n\). Using this notion, the author discusses and extends results of Huckaba, Huneke, Ulrich and Vasconcelos on ideals \(I\) with a normal Rees algebra \(\mathcal R(I)\).
